Michael L. Manon, age 75, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at his home in Defiance.
Mike was a mechanical engineer who worked at Aro Corporation for over 20 years until their closing, then at Powers & Sons for another 15 years until he retired.
Mike was an avid golfer, former member of Riverside Greens Golf Club, enjoyed sudoku and other puzzles, and trips to Myrtle Beach.
Michael L. Manon was born on February 3, 1949, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Thayne E. and Janice E. (Morley) Manon. He married Gail E. Okeson on September 19, 1970, in Bowling Green, Ohio and she survives him.
Mike is also survived by his sons, Lonnie Manon, of Ney and Shawn Manon, of Chicago; daughters, Beth (Tim) Groman, of Fort Wayne and Kim (Ramon) Esquivel, of Defiance; eight grandchildren, Tristan, Bentlee, Gabriel, Zoe, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Abel and Weston; and brothers, Jerry (Jill) Manon, of Bryan and Larry (Brenda) Manon, of Ayersville. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Nicole and Ethan and sister, Suzanne Kimmel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Cramer officiating. Mike will be laid to rest at Evansport Cemetery.
