Mona L. Riegsecker, age 88 years, of Archbold, passed away Sunday morning, November 24, 2024, in her home.

She was born August 8, 1936, in Wauseon the daughter of Earl and Nola (Short) Roth and married Donald Samuel Riegsecker on February 23, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2017.

She worked at Lugbill Livestock Auction and then as an Administrative Assistant at Sauder Woodworking. She and Sammy loved antiques and enjoyed many trips, especially to Holmes County.

She was well known at many local restaurants as she frequented them daily. She was a member of Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker, where she had a love of music and sang in a lady’s quintet.

She is survived by her sister, Sue Roth of Stryker, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, twin, Avon Wyse and Karen Roth, and brother, Eugene Arlo, infant.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, December 1, at 3 PM at the Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker, with Pastors Matthew Weaver and Gary Stuckey officiating. Interment will precede in the Lockport Cemetery. Friends are encouraged to join in a meal following the service where we can all share our memories of Mona.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to Lockport Mennonite Church or Sauder Village.
