MONTPELIER BOARD OF EDUCATION: Board Approves Overnight Trip For Music Department

The Montpelier Board of Education held their meeting on Tuesday, August 13th at 5:30 p.m. The meeting began with a discussion regarding 2024 Capital Conference Delegates, along with the hearing of principals’ reports and a legislative report.

Board meeting minutes from the meeting held on June 25th were then approved, before moving on to approve the following items listed under the financial report.

Financial reports for the months of June and July 2024 as presented, as well as the bank reconciliation, cash summary, distribution, budget vs actual, and investment reports.

A list of donations were then approved, along with a fund-to-fund transfer of $30,000 from the general fund to the Cafeteria Fund, a list of appropriation modifications to complete FY 2024, amended certificates for FY 2025, and a list of permanent appropriations for FY 2025 in the amount of $17,656,857.65 for all funds.

Next, a list of personnel recommendations were approved, along with the following additional items.

A substitute list from the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center or the 2024-2025 school year as emailed monthly from the NwOESC.

A list of additional substitutes for the 2024-2025 school year and bus routes for the 2024-2025 school year, continuing on from the previous school year.


Also approved was a motion for Joseph Brigle, Athletic Director, to secure workers for high school and junior high events for the 2024-2025 school year, to be paid per approved rate schedule, an overnight trip for the Music Department to Washington D.C. for March 14th through the 16th in 2025, and a motion to approve paying groups that work concession stands. With no other items to attend to, the meeting was adjourned.
