Montpelier, Hilltop Take Part In Tri-Meet With Archbold

(September 23rd, 2014)-MONTPELIER: The Montpelier boys and Hilltop girls each took second place in their respective races at a tri-meet with Archbold. The Blue Streaks claimed first place in both, while the Hilltop boy and Montpelier girls didn’t have the numbers to field an official team.

For the Lady Cadets, Madeleine Routhier took first place with a time of 20:32. Hilltop’s Kara Brown earned third place with a 23:21 finish. Bailey Funkhouser laid claim to sixth place, running a 24:39.

Ben Routhier was the lone Hilltop runner in the event, clocking in at 20:13.

The Montpelier girls were three in number. Jacqueline Carlson brought home second place for the Locos thanks to her time of 20:48. Haley Suffel turned in a time of 27:10. A mere second behind her, Jessica Earle finished the race at 27:11.


Michael Blake was the first Locomotive to complete the course, finishing in third place at 18:00 flat. Jared Rediger finished in sixth place with a time of 18:58. Alec Waterson was right behind him in seventh place at 19:10.
