METAMORA – A third inning RBI single plated the only run of the game on April 8. Unfortunately for the Montpelier Locomotives, that lone run fell into the column of the Evergreen Vikings who parlayed it into a 1-0 NWOAL win over the Locos.

Tyler Benner took the start and the loss for 1-2/0-1 Montpelier, allowing the run on 2 hits and a walk, fanning 4 over 3 innings of work. Spencer Durham finished, allowing no runs on 3 hits and a walk, striking out a pair.

Durham and Benner were the only Locos to reach base with a hit, as each collected a single.
