Montpelier Rotary Bests Stryker 14U Squad

(June 19th, 2015) – STRYKER: Taking to the road, the Montpelier Rotary 14U softball team made the trip to Stryker on Friday, June 19. The trip was a worthwhile one for the Montpelier unit, as they were able to secure the victory over a determined Stryker team.

Rotary topped Stryker 20-4.

Several Rotary batters stepped up in the win. Maya Taylor and Trinity Nichols led the bunch, as the two girls mirrored each other for 2 singles, a double, and a triple. Kennedy Caudill earned a single and a double. Halie Rose and Kimme Engles each hit 2 singles as well.

Anna, of Stryker, hit for a pair of singles. Teammate Aaliyah earned a single as well.

Picking up the victory for Rotary was Rose. Allowing only 4 runs from 3 hits, Rose dominated the contest from the mound.
