Montpelier Rotary Donates To See & Do Club

Montpelier Rotary Club President … Chuck Moore with John Widmer from Reach Up, Inc. and See and Do Club.

John Widmer was guest of the Montpelier Rotary at the Club’s regular meeting March 4th. Mr. Widmer, who is a retired Montpelier math teacher, came to speak to the Club about Reach Up Inc. The group coordinates religious activities at CCNO (Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio) outside Stryker.

Reach Up Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that relies entirely on donations from churches, organizations and individuals and more that 250 volunteers. The group offers daily religious services, an average of 100 Bibles per month, mentoring for inmates and aftercare for those who are released. Reach Up Inc. has a part-time chaplain as well.

Mr. Widmer is also the director of the See and Do Club in Montpelier. The Rotary Club’s First Vice President, Mike Moore, presented Mr. Widmer with the Club’s $100 donation to See and Do.
