Montpelier Schools October Board Meeting Focuses On Personnel Moves

The Montpelier Exempted Village Board of Education convened in regular session on the evening of October 13.

The Board approved the following supplemental contracts for the 2015-2016 school year:

Anna Kauffman – Entry Year Mentor
Gabriela Almeida – Spanish Club
Lester Orndorff – Robotics Club
Taylor Muehlfeld – Head Boys Basketball
David Bauer – Boys Basketball Assistant
Brandon Shoup – JH Boys Basketball
Jodi Grime – Girls Basketball Assistant
Charlene Johnson – JH Girls Basketball
Troy Roth – Head Wrestling
Kyle McCarley – Wrestling Assistant
Nickolas Ramos – JV Boys Basketball
Bill Williams – JH Boys Basketball
Tim Nicely – Head Girls Basketball
R. Chuck Florence – V/JV Girls Basketball Volunteer
Kaylee Freese – Girls Basketball Assistant Volunteer
Teresa Van Dyke – JH Girls Basketball
Anthony Mercer – JH Wrestling

The Board approved the resignation of cafeteria employee Jody Clark, effective September 29, 2015; an amendment of the contract for Peggy Freese to add 2.25 hours per day to the cafeteria beginning September 29, 2015, and added Carol Brown to the substitute cafeteria list, and Carol Goebel to the substitute cafeteria and substitute aide list for the 2015-2016 school year. The Board approved the OWA student workers at $4.00 per hour for the 2015-2016 school year, and added Kaitlin Tippin to the substitute aide list for the 2015-2016 school year.


The Board approved the 2016-2017 School Calendar, a records disposal in November 2015, and the Montpelier High School Locomotion and Jazz Band trip to Toronto, Ontario from March 18 to March 20, 2016.

Finally, the Board approved Jamison Grime, Su Thorp, Lance Thorp, Steven Brancheau, Monica Brigle and Vicki Martinich as OTES evaluators for the 2015-2016 school year.
