Boys and ghouls of all ages enjoyed a frightfully delightful evening as they gathered at Edon Northwest Local Schools for the community’s annual Halloween Party. Hosted by the Edon Music Boosters and Edon Schools Music Department, this year’s event followed the Village’s traditional Trick or Treat and Trunk or Treat activities held Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Festivities got underway with a scrumptious supper featuring Wendy’s Chili, hot sandwiches, delectable desserts and beverages ~ all guaranteeing no guest would dare go away hungry! As cowboys, Ohio State football players and cheerleaders, hunters, witches and a wide variety of cute little creatures joined diners, sounds from the up and coming Edon Junior High Band indicated the Parade of Costumes was set to begin.
Bootiful children aged four weeks through thirteen and older eagerly participated in the Costume Contest judging. The array of spooktacularly creative and scary costumes displayed on stage made reaching a final decision extremely difficult for judges! Receiving top prizes in each category were:

As the night’s bewitching hours started to wane, those still looking to have a fang-tastic Hallo-scream bravely entered the Boys Scouts Haunted Forest at Walz Park. While many embarked on the journey unafraid, several returned from their venture wickedly spooked for yet another year.
