The North Central Board of Education got its first look at applications for the superintendent’s job.
The board met in executive session to review nine names. The next step is to determine which candidate is available for an interview and schedule a time. The interviews will be open to the public.
In other news:
-The board approved contracts for 10 teachers, a counselor, and six other people.
-The board approved an overnight trip to the FFA State Convention for May 4-6. Seven students will be attending and the mini-bus will be used.
-Great Lakes Biomedical will perform the physicals for bus and van drivers.
-Next year’s kindergarten could be at least two classes. After the annual screening, there are 44 students registered with 11 in pre-kindergarten.
-The sixth-graders who will graduate to the middle school will travel to the planetarium at the University of Toledo, May 25.
-The school’s post-prom event will be at Kalahari this year.
