MONTPELIER – On a cold, sometimes rainy, and often windy September 18th afternoon, the North Central Eagles battled the conditions and the visiting Pettisville Blackbirds to take 151-198 victory in the BBC clash to finish 5-0 in the league. With the win the Eagles captured the regular season conference title for the first time since 2005.
Overcoming the elements to lead the way for the Eagles was Jalen Dancer with a one over par 36, while Clayton VanDeVoorde was one shot behind at 37. Cameron Cochran and Branden Turner had rounds of 39 and Kole Peterson finished with a 40. Other scores for North Central were Dylan Hutchison 44 and Alex Lantz 47.
Low round for the Blackbirds was turned in by Tyler Herschberger who shot 43, while Evan King was next with a 50. Angela Austin finished with a 52, Matt Krill 53, and Reed Behnfeldt 54. Greg Kempf closed out the scoring for Pettisville with a 57.
