(February 10th, 2015) – PIONEER: Despite Maumee Valley claiming an early lead, North Central had little trouble dispensing of the non-conference foe.

The Lady Eagles emerged from the contest victorious, 50-21.

It was just a bit closer than that in the first period, though. In fact, Maumee Valley finished the quarter leading 9-8. That wouldn’t last, however, as the girls of Pioneer stepped up on both ends of the court for the rest of the game. The second stanza saw North Central outscore their opponent 14-6. This put the score at 22-15, in favor of the Eagles, at the half.

North Central continued to distance themselves from Maumee Valley, claiming the third period by an 11-4 margin. To close out the game, the Lady Eagles put an exclamation point on the contest with a 17-2 run.

Sophomore Mikayla Hayes took care of a good portion of the Eagle scoring effort, putting up 17 points by herself. Both Alyssa Swank and Cady VanDeVoorde added 12 points to the victory total as well.
