Evergreen 53, Swanton 2
SWANTON – Evergreen overwhelmed winless Swanton, 53-2, spoiling the Bulldogs’ homecoming contest in Northwest Ohio Athletic League action.
The Vikings raced out to a 29-0 lead in the opening quarter. Bryce Bolger and Quinton Eisel led Evergreen with three touchdowns apiece, all coming on runs.
Bolger scored on runs of nine, six and 15 yards and finished with 71 yards on 12 carries and completed 12 of 20 passes for 171 yards.
Eisel tallied on runs of four, six and three yards and finished with 75 yards on just 12 carries. Luke Woodring hauled in five passes for 93 yards for the Vikings.
Alex Mossing booted a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter. Will Ruetz scored on a one-yard run in the second quarter. Swanton scored on a second quarter two-point safety.
Evergreen had a decisive 324-44 edge in total offense. Swanton was held to 66 yards passing and -22 yards on the ground.
Both teams return to NWOAL action on Friday as Evergreen (6-2, 3-2 NWOAL) visits Delta (4-4, 2-3 NWOAL) and Swanton (0-8, 0-5 NWOAL) travels to Patrick Henry (6-2, 3-2).
