Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (NwOESC) has recently completed a year long process which included a lease payoff and an amended lease agreement for the facility currently shared with the Northern Buckeye Education Council in Archbold, Ohio. Through its elected Governing Board along with a finance committee consisting of area superintendents and treasurers, the NwOESC has used a portion of the proceeds from the lease payoff to establish a fund for both long-term and short-term maintenance needs of the facility. The remaining proceeds will be distributed proportionately per adopted procedures to the twenty-three school districts it serves in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams Counties upon adoption of an amendment to the annual service agreement. The NwOESC continues its commitment to providing high quality educational programs and services and developing strong partnerships with member districts while maintaining cost-efficient operations.

Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center is one of fifty-two ESCs across the state dedicated to providing school districts with high quality professional development, special education services, student programs, curriculum and gifted supports, cooperative endeavors, state and federal regulation implementation, and community partnerships in order to improve student learning, enhance the quality of instruction, expand equitable access to resources, and maximize operating and fiscal efficiencies. Ohio’s ESCs provide a broad range of tailored services to meet the unique needs and priorities of their member school districts.
