Honoring Lives, Supporting Families

A Public Ministry · No Charge Obituary Policy

Losing a loved one is among the hardest moments a family can face — and the cost of an obituary in a local newspaper can add an unwelcome burden in that time. The Village Reporter offers obituaries at no charge in print, online, and on social media when the departed or their surviving family has a connection to our coverage area: Williams and Fulton Counties in Northwest Ohio. Tributes have no word limit, and families are welcome to include personal messages or scripture. Each one is archived at our newspaper office, the Northwest Ohio Historical Societies, and area college libraries.

We hope you never need this service — but we are here if you do. Over the last 25 years, this commitment has saved local grieving families an estimated $4 million+. If our work has been a comfort, please consider supporting your hometown newspaper with a subscription — it is what keeps gestures like this possible.
