Patricia Delcamp (1942 – 2024)

Patricia Ann Delcamp, 82 of Pioneer, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.

She was born on November 12, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Nelson and Caroline (Smith) Bexten. Patricia graduated from North Central High School in 1961. On October 14, 1961 she married James L. Delcamp in Montpelier and he survives.

Patricia began her working career at Spangler Candy Company in Bryan working in the billing department. She was also the bookkeeper for James Delcamp Contractor, Heating/Electrical and Plumbing, was the secretary at Dick Miller’s Accounting in Montpelier and worked in the dietary department at the Montpelier Hospital for 10 years.

Patricia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier and the Pioneer Area Lions Club. At one time she was a 4H and Girl Scout Leader and was on a bowling league at NeCo Lanes in Montpelier. She very much enjoyed traveling with Evelyn’s Excursions based out of Pioneer and the many years of attending square dances with her husband, Jim.


Patricia is survived by her husband of 63 years, James L. Delcamp; three children, Janet (John) McColley of Napoleon, Ohio, Julie (Joe) Goodman of Marysville, Ohio, and Jonathan (Michelle Lutian) Delcamp of Hinckely, Ohio; one granddaughter, Carly Mae Goodman; and brother, Robert (Betty) Bexten of Pioneer, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Anthony Bexten and infant brother, Carly Bexten; and sister Joanne Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier with a memorial service being presented by the Pioneer Area Lions Club members beginning at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier with Father Andrew Wellman to officiate. Interment to follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.


In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Pioneer Area Lions Club, Williams County Fair Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
