Perry C. Ames, age 73, of Bryan, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at his home.
Perry worked for many years at Sauder Woodworking as a CNC operator and retired from General Motors.
He was an avid fisherman, loved going to Harrison Lake, enjoyed golfing, was a fan of the Michigan Wolverines, spent time playing the organ, but most of all, enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Perry was a member of the Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee.
Perry C. Ames was born August 21, 1951 in Hudson Michigan, the son of Thad and Margaret (Street) Ames. He graduated from Hudson High School and earned an Associate Degree in Computer Science from ITT Tech in Grand Rapids, MI.
Perry is survived by his children, Jeff, of West Unity, Jacob, of Bryan, Janice (Sean Anderson), of Pioneer, Josh, of West Unity, Jon (Beth Lauffer), of Bryan, Joey, of Fort Wayne, Renee, of Jackson, MI, Carrie (Matt) Vancampen, of Sumerset Center, MI and Bobby (Alexandria), of Jackson, MI; 19 grandchildren; brother, Denis (Bonnie), of Lowell, MI and Wendy (Lyn) Bates, of Bernhan, TX. Perry was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 pm in the Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee, 2667 Bent Oak Ave, Adrian, MI 49221. A celebration of Perry’s life will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Calvin Walden officiating. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio has been entrusted with Perry’s arrangements.
