Personnel Moves Highlight Montpelier Board Regular Session

The Montpelier Exempted Village Board of Education convened in regular session on the evening of August 11.
Actions undertaken by the Board included the following…
•Approved the financial statements and investments as presented.
•Approved the donations as presented.
•Approved the repayment of a cash advance from fund 003-7420 to fund 001-5220.
•Approved the athletic change fund of $1500.00 with Joseph Brigle caretaker, central office change fund of $50.00 with Tami Richmond caretaker and Board office change fund of $75.00 with Carla Rice caretaker.
•Accepted the resignation of Deborah Johnson, intervention specialist, effective July 22, 2015.
•Approved the following horizontal movements on the salary schedule, pending verification of eligibility:

David Bauer – Master’s Degree
Khrysta Coleman – Master’s Degree
Len Etter – Master’s +12
Fara Neff – Bachelor’s +15
Miranda Oates – Master’s +12

•Approved the following supplemental contracts for the 2015-2016 school year:
Michele Anderson – Kindergarten Screening
Stacey Brown – Kindergarten Screening
Katie McCarty – Assistant Varsity Cheerleading
Michael Moyseenko – Light and Sound Technician
Michael Moyseenko – Assistant Marching Band
Michael Moyseenko – Co HS Musical
Michael Moyseenko – Locomotion
Michael Moyseenko – Co 5th Grade Musical

•Approved the classified substitute list for 2015-2016:

•Approved a one year supplemental contract for Kelsie Bowman – 9th Grade Volleyball
•Appointed Cristopher Wurm as the delegate to the 2015 OSBA Annual Business Meeting.
•Appointed Darrell Higbie as the alternate for the 2015 OSBA Annual Business Meeting.
•Approved Joseph Brigle to secure workers for high school and junior high school athletic events for the 2015-2016 school year, to be paid per approved rate schedule.
•Employed Cynthia Shoup, intervention specialist, at Bachelor’s Degree at Step 5 for 173 days for the 2015-2016 school year.
•Approved a FMLA leave for Khrysta Coleman with a tentative start date of September 28, 2015 and ending December 18, 2015.
•Approved the following supplemental contracts for the 2015-2016 school year:
Jill Altaffer – First Year Teacher
Jayme Balasko – First Year Teacher
Elaina Bess Cooley – First Year Teacher
Kyle McCarley – First Year Teacher
Michael Moyseenko – First Year Teacher
Laura Zumbaugh – Marching Band
Laura Zumbaugh – Summer Band
Laura Zumbaugh – Pep Band

•Added Kathy Lehman to the substitute aide list for the 2015-2016 school year.
•Approved a one year supplemental contract for Todd Friend – JH Football.
