EDON – The BBC beat was on tap in Edon on April 8 as the Boys in Bomber Blue welcomed in conference rival Pettisville. After allowing the Blackbirds to run up a 7-2 lead in the middle of the fifth, the hometown boys posted a five spot to tie the game, then took a 6-5 lead in the home half of the sixth.

All that stood between Edon and the win were the three outs Pettisville had remaining in the top of the seventh…and that’s all the Blackbirds needed. The visitors rallied for three unanswered runs to stun the Bombers, 10-8.

Noah Miller got the win for Pettisville with 2 1/3 inning of relief in which he allowed a run on 2 hits and a walk, fanning one. Landon Bloir was left holding the bag for Edon, allowing 3 runs on a hit and 3 walks, striking out 3 over 1 1/3 innings of work.
