(June 1st, 2015) – TINORA: In a tough outing to begin the Summer softball season, the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville tasted defeat as they took on the Tinora Rams.

Traveling to Defiance County for not one, but two contests against the Lady Rams, the Pettisville girls had a difficult time finding a rhythm in game one of the double header.  Though they were able to procure a number of hits, the Blackbirds weren’t able to work their way on to the scoreboard in the loss.

Pettisville fell to Tinora 10-0.

The Lady Blackbird offense was led by a trio of hitters.  Kyra Behnfeldt, rapidly approaching her sophomore year, hit for a single.  That feat was echoed by teammate Mallory Riegsecker, who also earned a single.  Also reaching first base on her own merit was a third Pettisville girl, Brittany Sauder.
