PETTISVILLE – Pettisville golfer Connor Elliott recently signed a letter of intent to further his education and continue his golf career at Defiance College.
“I had my mind pretty set after my first visit with the coach and the campus tour”, said Elliott when explaining his choice. “It was close to home, so I am still able to be around friends and family.”
“Coach Gehring (Defiance coach) reached out to my coach about wanting my contact information and once he got a hold of me, we set up a visit around campus.”
“While I was visiting, he told me the advantages athletically and academically of going to Defiance and my mind was set after the visit”, added Elliott.
“Coach Zimmerman (Pettisville head coach) was definitely a role model for me since I joined the golf team, and I wouldn’t be where I am without him”, commented Elliott.
Elliott, who will be a business major, earned 1st Team BBC honors while at Pettisville along with being part of teams that won sectionals, districts, and qualified for the state tournament.
