Richard Bandeen (1933-2018)

Richard James Bandeen, 84, of Pittsford, Michigan and formerly of Pioneer, Ohio passed away Friday afternoon at his home.  Born on September 28, 1933 in Maumee, Ohio, he was the son of Franklin J. and Olive G. (Blossom) Bandeen.  Richard was a graduate of Pioneer High School in 1952 and soon after was drafted into the Army during the Korean War as a medic in Okinawa.  From 1968-1995 he was a self- employed carpenter in the Pioneer and Montpelier area.  Richard was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan.

He is survived by three sons Robert Bandeen of Bird Lake in Osseo, Michigan and Scott Bandeen of Cocololla, Idaho, and Brook Bandeen of Milbury, Ohio; step daughter Joyce Thorton of Devil Lake, Michigan; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a brother Joe (Kathy) Bandeen of Pioneer; and sister Kathy Bandeen of Bryan.
