(Served In US Marine Corps)

Robert Martin Reyes, age 36, of Fort Wayne, passed away on November 30, 2024, at Parkview Randallia Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born on December 30, 1987, in Chicago, to Mario and Eunice (Robles) Reyes. On September 7, 2013, he married the love of his life, Kara (Buehrer), and she survives.

Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Robert obtained his master’s degree in applied behavior analysis from Ball State University.

He owned a behavioral consultant business, which was a passion of his. He prided himself in helping families navigate situations pertaining to children with disabilities.

Robert was an active and competitive person, with running being a lifelong passion. Working out, running, and playing basketball were initial activities that brought Robert and Kara together, and these activities continued to be important to their family.

During his battle, Robert was determined to be active as much as he could. His morning walks served as a time to talk to God. Through his cancer journey, he was determined to continue walking and praying.

He volunteered his time coaching his daughters’ soccer and basketball teams, and he also volunteered at church. He attended Crossview Church in Grabill, IN.

Above all else, Robert was a family man and a man of God. His family and faith were the most important things in his life.

Surviving Robert is his wife, Kara; daughters, Mya and Tayley; father, Mario Reyes; brother, David (Brandy) Reyes of Montpelier; brother, Sammy (Kaitlyn) Reyes of Archbold; brother, Mario (Chevy) Reyes of Ridgeville; brother, Israel (Laura) Reyes of Bowling Green; sister, Gladys (Roger) Brineman of Indiana; in-laws, Keith and Deb Buehrer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice.

Visitation for Robert will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Archbold Evangelical Church, from 2pm to 7pm. Burial will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 10am at the Archbold Cemetery. A memorial service will follow burial at 11am at the church, with Sammy Reyes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a future college savings fund for Robert’s daughters.
