Ruth Corwin (1933 – 2024)

(1951 Graduate Of Bryan High School)

Ruth C. Corwin, age 90, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on February 14, 2024 at Hillside Country Living with her family at her side.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Edon.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, baking, and canning for her family.

Ruth was born on October 9, 1933 in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Forrest C. and Otha (Stough) Byroads. Ruth was a 1951 graduate of Bryan High School.

She married Harvey R. Corwin, on July 17, 1951 in Williams Center, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1999.


Ruth is survived by her son, Richard (Cynthia) Corwin, of Bloomington, Indiana; daughter; Lucinda (Don) Kramer of Fremont, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jody (Ashlee Camper) Osborn, Brent (Courtny) Osborn, Jennifer (Aaron) Mobley, Jonathan Corwin and Ashley (Orlin) Watson; nine great grandchildren, Skylar, Ava, Ella, Stormlin, August, Grace, Leah, Vivian and Finn and a brother, Arvon Byroads, of Bryan. She was preceded by her parents; husband; brother, Noel Byroads and sister, Virginia Rady.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Edon with Deacon Jean Wise officiating. She will be laid to rest at Williams Center Cemetery next to her husband.

Krill Funeral Service, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio has been entrusted with Ruth’s services.


Those wishing to give a memorial donation are requested to donate to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
