Samuel Fenton (1957-2021)

Samuel R. Fenton, age 63, of Jasper Michigan, with his family by his side passed away Saturday morning, March 6, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. Sam was born in Toledo on August 15, 1957 to the late Harry S. Fenton and Joyce (Wagner) Fenton.

He was a 1975 graduate of Sand Creek High School in Michigan.  On June 11, 1976 in Midland, MI he married Bonnie Shook. Sam was a member of IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows); where he served as a past Grand Master of Michigan.

He was very active with the Adrian Lodge #8 and the Monroe Lodge #19. For several years he worked in maintenance with McDonalds and later for Provincial House in Adrian.

Sam enjoyed manicuring his yard, tinkering around the house, welding, fixing cars, fishing and building things. He will always be remembered for his passion for cooking and love for his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Bonnie A. Fenton; daughters, Amanda (Chris) Meeuwse of Owosso, MI and Glenda (Jason) McKeever of Delta; brother, Paul Fenton of Jasper; grandchildren, Bronson Meeuwse, Savannah Meeuwse and Henry McKeever; aunt, Lois (Tony) Holtz of Onsted, MI; nephew, Michael Fenton along with many friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Fenton and infant sister, Mary Jane Fenton.

Friends will be received at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta, OH from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, those attending are asked to follow CDC guidelines by wearing a facial mask and observe six-foot distancing when possible. A memorial service for Sam will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the memorial contributions to the family, care of Bonnie Fenton.
