Graduated From North Central High School

Samuel-SierraSamuel L. Sierra, 28 years, of West Unity, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 as the result of an automobile accident near West Unity.

Samuel was born September 21, 1987 in Harlingen, Texas.  He was a 2006 graduate of North Central High School where he participated in Track, Cross Country, Baseball and Choir.  He was employed at Menard’s Distribution Center, Holiday City, where he drove tow motor for the past year. Prior to this, he worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for seven years.

Sam enjoyed hanging with his friends, whether it be playing PlayStation, pick-up games of basketball or baseball or playing a round of golf or just going to a car show and looking at all the vehicles.  Samuel also enjoyed watching football games, following the Dallas Cowboys, and participating in fantasy football leagues.  He found joy in the simple things of life.

Surviving is his mother and stepfather, Irma (Perry) Coutz of Pioneer; one brother, Dave Cervantes of Archbold; one sister, Amanda Cervantes, and her fiancé, Keith of Bowdon, Georgia; grandfather, Earl Coutz of Montpelier along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty Coutz, Hilario and Maria Gonzalez.

Visitation and services for Samuel L. Sierra will be private.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity, Ohio.
