Sandra Brenner (1945 – 2024)

Sandra Sue Brenner, 79 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Vancrest of Hicksville.

Sandy was born on September 13, 1945, in Bryan, the daughter of the late Lyle and Ruth (Welden) Riter. She was a 1963 graduate of Bryan High School.

Sandy married Dale V. Brenner on December 7, 1963, in Bryan, and preceded her in death on April 12, 2018. Sandy was a machine operator for Spangler Candy Company.

Prior to this, she was a devoted homemaker, caring for the needs of her family. She was a member of First Brethren Church, Bryan.

Sandy enjoyed sewing, painting statues, and gardening, but she truly treasured the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Cindy (Austin) Arnold of Creedmoor, North Carolina, Kelly (Chuck) Eckart of South Charleston, Ohio, and Randy (Jill) Brenner of Bryan; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale; great-grandson, Jack Pendleton Sherrick; two sisters, Betty Harrington, and Ellen Schmucker.

Visitation for Sandra Sue Brenner will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Luke Nagy officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to Alzheimer’s Association and Related Disorders Association.
