Sandra Brewer (1938-2018)

Sandra Pauline Brewer died peacefully on September 23, 2018 at the age of 80 at Willow Brook Christian Village, Delaware, Ohio where she resided for the past year to be near her son and daughter.

Sandy was born in Bryan, Ohio on March 5, 1938 to Lloyd Henry Cupp and Selma Leone (Hummel). Sandy graduated from Bryan High School on May 28, 1956 and was a member of the marching band, the A Capella Choir, Ensemble Choir, Hi-Life business staff, Girls Athletic Association, Y-Teen Christian fellowship program and Thespian Troupe No. 227.

Sandy had two children, Tawny Schwartz (Brewer) and Todd Brewer. Sandy graduated from Purdue University with a degree in the Science of Nursing in 1978 and worked as a registered Nurse at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Bryan Hospital and Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, Ohio. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a charter member of Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Newlyn Quest Club and Red Hat Society.

Sandy’s greatest joy in her life were her children, her granddaughter, Madison and her love of cats and dogs. Sandy dedicated her life to the caring and healing of her patients in her career as a nurse.
Sandy is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Cupp, her mother, Selma Harding (Cupp) and aunt Pauline Barber.


Sandy will forever be remembered by her daughter, Tawny Schwartz, son-in-law, Scott Schwartz, granddaughter, Madison, her son Todd Brewer and daughter-in-law, Linda.

The family will hold a graveside service at Fountain Grove Cemetery on October 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in celebration of Sandy’s life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

Memorial donations may be made to the Williams County Humane Society or Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
