Sandra Louise Shirley, 88 of West Unity, OH, formerly of Lakeville, IN passed away at 6:28 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born on April 21, 1928 in Lakeville, IN to the late Lewis N. and Blanche (Clark) Hodson. On February 8, 1946 in Lakeville, IN, she married Jack R. Shirley who preceded her in death in May 1990.
Mrs. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Bill) Kolb of Defiance, OH; three sons, Roger (Cindy) Shirley of Marietta, OH, Mark (Pam) Shirley of W. Carrollton, OH and Scott (Diana) Shirley of Lima, OH; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Eldo Hodson.
Mrs. Shirley was raised and married her husband of 46 years in Lakeville, in 1964 they moved to Ohio where she lived until her death. She worked for several years at Globe Wise and owned her own ceramic shop in Archbold, Ohio for 10 years.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, August 22, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 -12:00 p.m. Monday prior to the services.
