December 12, Scoring Summary

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Archbold 61, Defiance 56

The Bluestreaks were outscored in the second half 29-24, but their 10-point advantage at the break held up for a first round win in the Defiance Tournament. Morgan Miler was the top scorer for the Streaks finishing with 17 points. Kierstyn Repp finished with 14.


 

Hicksville 62, Hilltop 32

Only nine first-half points proved costly for the Cadets in the non-conference loss to Hicksville. Ariana Brown scored nine of her 11 points in the second half to lead Hilltop.

 

BOYS VARSITY BOWLING


Wauseon 2451, Evergreen 2167

Nicolas Kearney was dominating in the win over the Vikings as the senior rolled games of 218 and 226 for a 444 series. Quincy Rohda finished with 192 and 197 for a series of 389 to give the Indians the one-two punch. Evergreen’s Nick Hudik posted a game of 203 to go with his 170 for a 373 series to pace Evergreen.

 

Wauseon 2451, Liberty Center 1961

In game one of the match, the Indians had three bowlers top the 200 mark as Nicolas Kearney and Quincy Rohda had twin 237s and Jadon Meeker added a 233.  Kearney bettered his first game by one pin in the second with a 238 to lead the Indians to the NWOAL win.


 

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

North Central 68, Montpelier 9

7th grade – The Eagles sprinted past the Locomotives. Zach Hayes was on fire as he finished with 26 points in the win. Tucker Beres was the other force for North Central with 20 points. Collin Patten finished in double figures for the Eagles as well with 10 points.

 

Montpelier 47, North Central 32

8th grade –  The Locomotives took revenge in the second contest as the eighth graders were victorious. Roman Sutton led Montpelier with 19 points.

 

Stryker 49, Hilltop 27

8th grade – The Panthers ran off a 10-2 first quarter on way to their victory. Two Stryker players finished with double figures as Brandon Bowers had 15 points and Spencer Clingaman finished with 13 points. McEwen paced Hilltop with 11 points.

 

Pettisville 30, Montpelier 24

8th grade – The Blackbirds improved to 3-1 and 3-0 in BBC play with the win over the Locomotives. Isaac St. John led Pettisville with 10 points while Tommy McWatters added eight and Max Leppelmeier finished with seven points.

 

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

North Central 32, Edon 31

7th grade – It took triple overtime for the Eagles to improve to 2-1 over Edon. Madison Brown poured in 16 points to lead North Central. Edon, with two players in double figures were led by Ally Kaylor with 11 points and Kiess with 10 points.

 

North Central 19, Edon 17

8th grade –North Central gained their first win of the season. The Eagles were led by Makayla Myers and Kristen Hickman with six points apiece. Paige Briner led Edon with seven points.

 

Pettisville 24, Montpelier 14

The Blackbirds, improving to 5-1 and 4-0 in BBC play, scored 19 points in the first and fourth quarter combined to prevail. Karsyn Hostetler led Pettisville with eight points while Addison Moyer added five points. A. Page led the Locomotives with five points.
