Thursday, February 16 Scoring Summaries

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Montpelier 44, Edon 41

The Locos open up with a 12-3 first quarter, but the Bombers battled the rest of the way only to fall short. Seven Locos contributed to the won with the leading scorer, Jaelyn Lyons finishing with 10 points. Edon had two players in double figures as Claire Radabaugh led all scorers with 12 points and Samantha Weidmer added 11. The Locos finish the regular season with a mark of 9-13 and 6-6 in the BBC.


Archbold 63, Delta 50

The Bluestreaks capped a terrific 21-1 season and a NWOAL title with the 13-point win. Morgan Miller collected 16 points to lead the Streaks while Kierstyn Repp and Alyssa Ziegler broke into double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively. Delta’s Maddie Mattimore led all scorers with 23 points while Emily Clifton added 11 and Abby Freeman finished with 10 points. Delta’srecord moved to 11-10 and 3-4 in the league.

Wauseon 57, Evergreen 52

The Indians’ Brianna Castellano exploded for nine fourth quarter points to help guide Wauseon to their third win of the season as they ended the season 3-19. Castellano led all scorers with 22 points. Rylee Campbell and Alexis Suarez added 12 points apiece in the win. Three Vikings ended in double figures as Hannah Herr and Alyssa Noe scored 11 points apiece and Lexi Shipman added 10 points.

The Bombers were led by A Howard’s seven points.  The Locos’ Kimme Engels led all scorers with nine points.
