Tuesday, October 11 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Delta 5, Wauseon 2

The Panthers won their final league match of the season over the Indians. Delta’s Anthony Russell scored 20 minutes in to the game with a punt from keeper Cade Long. Russell scored his second goal at the 31-minute mark with an assist from Antonio Serna. The Indians’ Zach Fink responded with a goal for Wauseon 6 minutes later to give the Panthers a 2-1 advantage at the break. Delta’s third goal came eight minutes into the second half with a goal from Tyler McCullough. Six minutes later Ethan Myers scored a goal with an assist from Russell. Fink answered that goal for Wauseon soon after. The final goal came from Delta’s Ethan Myers

at the 32-minute mark.


Bryan 6, Swanton 2

The Golden Bears traveled to Swanton and won a share of the NWOAL title.  Scoring goals for Bryan were Bleus Creek (3), Tyler Manon (2), and Daniel Borland.  Recording assists for Bryan were Evan Smith, Daniel Borland (2), Bleus Creek, and Atland Sayarath.  Evan Smith also recorded 2 saves in goal.

Pettisville 0, Continental 0

In a tough non-Conference battle, the two teams were only to finish with six total shots on goal. Continental took four shots, while Pettisville only fired two shots.


VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Fayette downed Stryker in BBC action with scores of 25-19, 26-24 and 25-19. Kelsey Fruchey dominated at the net with 16 kills and added 16 digs. Bailee Smith finished with 13 kills. McKenzee Schaffner and Kaitlin Brubaker finished with 20 and 19 assists respectively.

Hilltop defeated North Central in a BBC contest 25-19, 19-25, 19-25, 25-21 and 15-8. Ariana Brown collected 10 kills on 29/31 attacks for the Cadets. Marisa Yates added eight kills on 17/22 attacks. Leading the Eagles were: Makayla Rizor with 18 digs, 23 assists by Makayla Knapp, and Mackayla Hayes with 13 kills and 3 aces.

Edon defeated Montpelier 25-23, 25-27, 25-16 and 25-15 for their eighth BBC victory of the season. Shaylee Manahan led the Bombers with 11 kills while Hannah Kaylor finished with nine and Netta Halonen added seven and Sarah Lemmon contributed with six. Halonen and Olivia Radabaugh combined for 10 services aces as Radabaugh had six and Halonen finished with four. Leading the Locomotives were Jaelyn Lyons with seven kills, Caitlyn Nixon with five kills and 7 blocks, Landri McKelvey with five kills and 21 assists, and Misheala Robertson with five kills.

Swanton defeated Delta in a NWOAL battle five-set match with scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 12-25, 17-15. The Panthers were led by: Darian Elendt10 kills, 2 blocks, 6 digs; Emily Clifton 12 kills, 2 blocks, 18 digs; Kinsey Finnen 5 aces, 9 kills, 14 digs; Mary Miller 1 ace, 13 kills, blocks, 3 digs; Raelyn Hutchinson 9 digs, Abby Freeman 1 ace, 1 kill, 1block, 26 assists, 4 digs, Destiny Hildreth 17 assists, 1 dig. (No individual stats were submitted for the Lady Bulldogs).

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL


Hilltop defeated North Central in three games with scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-19. (No individual stats were submitted.)

Montpelier was defeated by Edon with scores of 19-25, 26-24, 14-25 (No individual stats were submitted.)

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL

Edon was a 25-14 and 25-8 winner over Montpelier. (No individual stats were submitted.)

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL

Edon won both the seventh and eighth grade matches over Montpelier. In the seventh grade game, the Bombers were 25-10, 25-20 winners while the eighth graders defeated the Locomotives in three sets with scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-23. (No individual stats were submitted.)

Additional Summaries from Monday, October 10th

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Montpelier joined forces with Hicksville for Believin’ in a Cure to honor their student who passed last year. The Locos were dropped the match 27-29, 16-25, 23-25. Leading the Locomotives were Landri McKelvey with 7 kills and 9 assists and Morgan Eriksen with 5 kills.

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Hicksville defeated Montpelier in two sets with scores of 25-13, 25-16. (No individual stats were submitted.)

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL

Hicksville netted the two set win over Montpelier with scores of 25-14 and 25-18. (No individual stats were submitted.)

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL

Montpelier’s 8th grade team fell to Antwerp 25-19, 10-25, 23-25. Antwerp also took the victory in the 7th grade contest with scores of 25-7 and 25-20.

JUNIOR VARSITY FOOTBALL

Leipsic 46, Stryker 0
