Sharon L. Phillips, 76, of rural Waldron, died early Saturday morning, February 3, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 28, 1941, in Fayette, to the late Bobby and Ruth (Climo) Crisenbery. She married Robert H. Phillips on June 5, 1960, at the Waldron Church of Christ. They shared over 40 years of marriage until his death on January 6, 2001.

Sharon was a 1959 graduate of Hilltop High School in West Unity, OH. She was employed as the Plant Manager at the former Superior Carbon Products in West Unity for over 10 years, before serving for many years as a nurse’s aide at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan, OH. Sharon enjoyed sewing, reading and working on puzzles in her spare time. She also enjoyed family camping trips in her younger years, and rejoiced in attending various local country and gospel sings.

Sharon is survived by her two children, Todd (Karen) Phillips of Bluffton, OH and Tammy (Joel) Burroughs of Lyons, OH; four grandsons, Joshua (Danielle) Burroughs, Justin Burroughs (and Katlynn Schroeder), Trent Phillips, and Colin Phillips; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Burroughs; great-grandson, Trevor Haury; a brother, Robert (Mary) Crisenbery of Bryan; and a sister, Shirley (Neil) Cotter of Bryan. In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Crisenbery and Richard Crisenbery; and a sister, Sandra Crisenbery.

Family and friends of Sharon will be received on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 3-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Living Hope Free Methodist Church in West Unity with Pastor Dave Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.

Per Sharon’s final wishes, memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Living Hope Free Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association, or the Wright-Waldron Fire & EMS. Friends can share memories and words of comfort with the family online at www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
