Shirley A. Osmun, age 82, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 6:50 P.M. on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mrs. Osmun was a graduate of Bryan High School and had worked at the Dime Store in Bryan and for Spangler Candy Company and later retired from Allied Moulded with twenty-five years of service. Shirley was a devoted homemaker and an excellent baker and enjoyed cooking from scratch, camping, quilting and working puzzles.
Shirley Ann Osmun was born on July 15, 1936, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Roy Robert and Jenny Irene (Monks) Brenner. She married Kenneth J. Osmun on December 17, 1978, in Bryan and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Bonnie Jean (Richard) Shaffer, of Pittsford, Michigan, Ann Marie Carr, of Bryan, Dean Edward Krauss, of Frontier, Michigan, Peggy Sue (Mike) Trent, of Greenville, South Carolina, and Mary Louise (Ryan) Layman, of Bryan; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, James R. Brenner, of Stryker, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Mark Allen Krauss; two grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Suffel and Helen Kuszmaul; and one brother, Tom Brenner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Interment will be in Waldron Cemetery, Waldron, Michigan.
