Shirley Anne Smith, age 89, of Edgerton and a longtime resident of Bryan, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024.
Shirley was a title clerk for the Montpelier Auto Auction and Bryan Auto Depot for many years and retired from Wal-Mart in Bryan. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church USA in Montpelier.
Shirley was born on December 5, 1934, in Kunkle, Ohio, the daughter of Max L. and Ronda M. (Barrett) Kunkle. She was a graduate of Kunkle High School.
Shirley is survived by her son, Douglas R. Smith, of Defiance and Brad A. Smith, of Camden, Michigan; daughter, Sherri L. Peters, of Bryan; 3 grandchildren, Bethany Repp, Carling Belknap and Joshua (Rebecca) Frazee and great grandchildren, Skylar and Brooklyn Frazee. Preceding her in death were her parents and her former husband, Maurice F. Smith.
In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio has been entrusted with her arrangements. She will be laid to rest at Fountain Grove Cemetery in a private ceremony.
