Softball/Baseball Roundup For Monday, May 17th

VARSITY SOFTBALL

Regular Season

North Central 11 Fayette 0

North Central (12-12, 6-5 in BBC) took control with a six-run first inning and three pitchers combined to hold Fayette (0-16, 0-11) to just three hits in the 11-0 win. Isabelle Burnett and Macie Gendron led North Central with a hit and two RBIs.

Hilltop 13 Stryker 3 (6 innings)

Kodi Brenner got the win in the circle and was 3-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI as Hilltop (25-3, 12-0 in BBC) finished undefeated in the BBC with a win over Stryker. Lana Baker added a 3-4 effort with three RBIs and Leanna Baker had two hits and two RBIs for the Cadets. Caitlyn Lyons had two hits to top the Panthers (5-12, 4-7) and Sage Woolace added a hit and two RBIs.

VARSITY BASEBALL

Regular Season

North Central 10 Fayette 5

Sam Wheeler went 4-4 and drove in two runs to lead North Central (12-10, 9-3 in BBC) to a 10-5 win at Fayette (3-15, 1-10). Ben Petit, Keanu Miller, and Ben Turner add one RBI each for North Central. Fayette, who had 11 hits on the night, were led by TJ Moliterno who had a double, triple, two RBIs, Jayden Fairfield registered a hit with two RBIs while Tanner Wagner and Skylar Lester had two hits apiece.

Archbold 3 Ayersville 2

The Bluestreaks scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to retake the lead as they held on the beat Ayersville 3-2. Archbold (16-10) had six players with one hit each while Brandon Taylor and Devon Morris each knocked in a run.


Bryan 9 Hicksville 1

Keith Huard homered and had two RBIs to lead Bryan (11-13) to 9-1 non-league win over Hicksville. Quinn Brown had three hits in the game for the Golden Bears and Clayton Rupp added two RBIs.

Wauseon 8 Lima Central Catholic 4

Clay Stump tripled, drove in three runs, and got the win on the mound for Wauseon (17-5) in their 8-4 win at Lima Central Catholic. Jude Armstrong had two hits with two RBIs for the Indians and Eli Delgado had two hits and one RBI.
