Bryan, OH – November 2016: Spangler Candy looks forward to hosting two “Live Drives” in support of Mix 98.1 and the Marines’ Christmas for Kids Campaign on Thursday, Dec.1.

The public is invited to stop by at Spangler Candy Company from 6 to 8 am or from 2 to 4 pm Dec. 1 to enjoy special activities and help make Christmas a little brighter for area children by making a monetary contribution or a donation of new toys.

The first live broadcast, from 6 to 8 am, can be heard on the Wake-Up Show with Rick Small. The public is welcome to stop by the Main Entrance, Door C, of Spangler Candy Company, where the broadcast will take place, to make a donation.

The second live broadcast will be held in the Spangler Store & Museum where Rick Small and the Marines will be again from 2 to 4 pm, offering another opportunity for the public to make a donation.

All who donate at Spangler Candy Company during either Live Drive time will receive a free box of candy canes.

The morning Live Drive will include performances by the Bryan High School chamber orchestra. Visitors also can listen in as Rick Small interviews Spangler employees about a variety of topics, ranging from company history and new products, to how flavors are chosen and what it’s like to work at Spangler.

During the afternoon live drive at the store/museum, the Dum Dums Drum Man will be greeting visitors, and trolley tours will be in progress.

Visitors also will have the opportunity to participate in a “Guess the Flavor” contest.

From now through Dec. 1, toy barrels and collection cans are available in the Spangler Candy Company main entrance and during store hours in the Spangler Candy Store & Museum.
