The Stryker Area Heritage Council will hold their annual business meeting and banquet on November 9, 2023 at the Stryker Methodist Church.

The SAHC maintains a museum at the historic railroad depot in Stryker and pursues projects that preserve the history of the Stryker area.

After the meal, a short business meeting will be conducted. Minutes of the 2022 annual meeting will be presented for approval and a recap of projects and programs completed in 2023 will be shared by President Terry Wieland.

He will also be giving an update on several projects the group hopes will be completed in 2024. Next, the election of the slate of trustees will be held.

On the ballot this year are Terry Wieland, Dave Benner and LaVon Benner. Trustee terms run for three years, and any member of the Heritage Council can serve as a trustee.

The annual financial statement will be presented by Treasurer, Sue Buehrer. After the adjournment of the meeting, Randy Bible will share his presentation, “Stryker History Along the Tracks”.

Reservations for the meal must be made by November 3rd by calling 419-630-3803.  The cost of the meal is $10.00 per person and can be paid at the door. The doors open at 5:30 PM and the meal will be served at 6:00 PM.

The program is free and expected to start around 7:00 PM. The meal, meeting and program are all open to SAHC members and the general public.
