ROTARY CLUB … Gary Stuckey and Dave Frank spoke to the Stryker Rotary Club at their regular meeting on Tuesday evening. They informed the club of a new youth center that has recently opened. The center is located on the second floor of the Stryker American Legion building in downtown Stryker and has been named “THE LOFT”. The steering committee for the group has been working on the concept for a center for about a year-and-a-half before reaching an agreement with the Stryker Legion in January. Many area volunteers assisted with renovations of the space, and the first event being held in February following a home basketball game. The committee was very pleased with the turnout of students at this initial event. 75 area junior high and high school age students in attendance. The center will be monitored by adult volunteers who have been trained using the guidelines of the Youth for Christ organization.
