Stryker Wins BBC Tournament

(September 18th, 2014)-WAUSEON: All six BBC teams were in attendance at Ironwood Golf Course for a league tournament match. The Stryker Panthers came away tournament champions at the event, shooting a 332 as a team. Hilltop claimed second place with a score of 369. Third place belonged to North Central and their 375 total. Edon took fourth place, swinging their way to a 389. The Eagles of Fayette came in fifth place with a 413. Pettisville took sixth place with a 466 team score.

Panther Tanner Clingaman earned medalist honors with a 73. Teammate Chad Ruffer fired an 84, while Hayden Clingaman put up an 86. Cody Hall contributed an 89 in the victory.

For the Cadets, Colin Sabins shot a 91. Isaac VanArsdalen was right behind his teammate, turning in a 92. Trevor Shipman and Levi Grant each fired a 93 for Hilltop as well.

Jordan Reeves led the way for North Central, shooting an 87. Fellow Eagle Brady Zuver offered up a 94, with David Pinc a single stroke behind him with a 95. Brock Zuver rounded out the team’s scoring with a 99.


The Bombers followed the lead of Hayden Runyan and his round of 90. Jim Peckham fired a 93 for Edon as well. Alex Kirkingburg put up a 94, and Evan Fisk a 112 to complete the Bomber total.

For Fayette, Tharyn Colegrove turned in the best score, shooting a 93. Justin White finished the course in 100 strokes for the Eagles. Michael Brubaker and Kamren Randall each contributed a 110 to the unit’s score.

Blackbird Evan King led the team with a 95. Matt Krill turned in a 98 for Pettisville as well. Hannah Meller shot a 129, and Andrew Canada a 144 in the losing effort.
