Susie Jane Powell, 91, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
She was born March 20, 1931, in Evansport, Ohio, daughter of the late George N. and Matilda E. (Cox) Koch.
Susie was a 1949 graduate of Farmer High School.
She married Kenneth Powell on November 26, 1980, in Bryan, and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2006.
Susie worked as a waitress at Hughes Restaurant in Pulaski for many years, and later worked at Allied Moulded Products in Bryan.
She was a member of Union Chapel Church of God. Over the years, Susie enjoyed working around the family farm, and in more recent years, spending time with her family.
Susie is survived by one sister-in-law, Lavada Koch, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; three sisters, Ethel Hanawalt, Velda “Fern” Kline, and Mary Goebel; and four brothers, Walter “Bud” Koch, John Koch, Ray Koch, and Clarence “Sam” Koch.
Graveside funeral services for Susie Jane Powell will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Boynton Cemetery, Stryker, Ohio, with Pastor Ted Mathes officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
