Ten Individuals Indicted By Williams County Grand Jury

A total of 10 individuals were indicted by a Williams County Grand Jury for a total of 28 different charges on January 18, 2017. Those indicted include:

Ball, Joshua D. (Bryan, Ohio). Indicted for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle (F4).

Bowers, Jeffrey A. (Edon, Ohio). Indicted on one count aggravated possession of drugs (F5), one count improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle (F5) and one count of physical control of a vehicle while under the influence (M1).

Brown, Richard D. II (Hamilton, Indiana). Indicted for non-support of dependents (F5).


Cooper, Zackery M. (Bryan, Ohio). Indicted on one count of carrying concealed weapon (F4); one count of trafficking in marijuana (F5), with specification; one count of possession of heroin (F5); and possessing criminal tools (F5).

Gardner, Daniel N. (Defiance, Ohio). Indicted for domestic violence (F4).

Herzong, Jade W. (Bryan, Ohio). Indicted on six counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle (F4), one count of burglary (F2), one count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer (F4) and two counts of felonious assault (F1).


Johnson, Joshua L. (Toledo, Ohio). Indicted on one count of vandalism (F5) and one count of vandalism (F5).

Joice, Tyler M. (Coldwater, Michigan). Indicted for theft (F5).

Peterson, Kurt D. (Bryan, Ohio). Indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (F5).

Shaffer, Dwight D. (Bryan, Ohio). Indicted on one count of violating a protection order (F5) and one count of menacing by stalking (F4).


It should be noted that an indictment is only an accusation and that all defendants listed are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
