The Williams County Genealogical Society Encourages Blogging

Pam Lash, WCGS President, presented “Let’s Blog” at the February 11, 2013 meeting which was held in the Harmon Room of the West Annex of the Bryan Public Library, Bryan, OH. She shared how she set up her genealogy blog. She explained that blogging is free, gave reasons for Blogging, explained the different types of genealogy blogs, gave tips on creating a blog of your own and encouraged members to give it a try. A handout was given to help members to continue the process from home.

The next meeting will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at 6:30pm in the Harmon Room, West Annex of the Bryan Public Library, Bryan, OH. Chuck Eberle, an impersonator of Robert E. Lee, of Van Wert, Ohio will again delight the audience. Chuck presented at the October 8, 2012 meeting, a “Visit with General Lee”. He will continue telling as General Lee from where he left off, and concluding with the Battle of Gettysburg.

Reminder: Forms for your Trash or Treasure items can be picked up at the West Annex of the library. Pictures and forms need to be turned in by the April 11 meeting or any time before by leaving them with Jane Kelly at the West Annex.
The purpose of WCGS is the preservation of county records and family research. Monthly meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, excluding July and August, at 6:30pm, in the conference room of the West Annex of the Bryan Public Library. The public is invited for all the meetings.
