Thelma Phillips (1939-2019)

Thelma L. Phillips, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan. Thelma was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan. She was a homemaker and had worked at Ohio Art, Hayes-Albion 50 Division and Ponderosa.

Thelma was born on October 5, 1939, in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of Richard L. and Lillie M. (Anderson) Fitch. She married Denver W. Phillips on February 6, 1956, in Norton, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2001.

Thelma is survived by her son, Denny (Darlene) Phillips, of Montpelier; daughter, Kristin (Todd) Mavis, of Farmer; five grandchildren, Natalie (Josh) McGill, Stacey Bramel, AJ (Mackenzie) Mavis, Josh Phillips and Ali Mavis; great grandson, Bane McGill; her sister, Dorothy Kuney, of Alvordton and sister-in-law, Phyllis Fitch, of Swanton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Charles, Richard, Dan, Jim and Raymond Fitch.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation with Father David Tscherne officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee.

Memorials are requested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
