Thriving Local Restaurant Uses Unexpected Re-Brand To Reach New Heights

Josh and Jodi Fiser became the owners of Wynns Restaurant & Lounge, a small restaurant connected to the Quality Inn & Suites hotel in Holiday city, in December of 2014. “The previous owners rented the restaurant space from the Quality Inn and named it Wynns with a horse inspired theme,” said Josh Fiser. “Four months later, we took over and didn’t want to confuse our local supporters, so we kept the name and logo.”

Nearly three years later, Wynn’s Restaurant’s successful online presence, thriving community support, and growing social media following has surged its rankings in search results and sparked the disapproval of Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, NV. That disapproval quickly escalated to threats of a potential lawsuit and claims of intellectual property infringement.

Left with the option to contest the famous Las Vegas Resort and create a tremendous financial burden on a small town restaurant or opt to comply with the name change demands, the owners have decided to change the restaurant’s name. The forced re-brand has granted Josh and Jodi the opportunity to place their own stamp on the restaurant’s name and atmosphere.

The re-brand to JJ Winns Restaurant and Lounge will take place slowly, as the transition is a major undertaking. One immediate benefit customers will see is the new hand-held tablet menus. They provide a high definition visual that will improve their dining experience immensely. “Our customers have come accustomed to great food and great service at a reasonable price. This will continue and along with the name change, we are committed to improving and making the restaurant everything our customers want it to be,” said Jodi Fiser.
