BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT
Hicksville 62, North Central 46 – The Eagles saw their season come to a close with the sectional semifinal loss to the Aces. Nick Henry paced North Central with 14 points.
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
DISTRICT TOURNAMENT
Fayette 45, Holgate 39 (Division IV semifinal) – This was a hard fought semi final game between two great teams. After building a 14-7 first quarter score, Fayette led 20-19 at the half. The Eagles never trailed after that and held off the Tigers outscoring them 25-20 in the last half. Holgate stayed in the contest by connecting on seven 3’s while Fayette had three makes from outside the arc. Taylor Griffiths led Fayette with 14 points while Kaela Seiler had 11 and Alexis Fruchey finished with 10. Next up for Fayette is a Division IV District title game Saturday evening at 7pm at Archbold HS.

(Wauseon 200 and 400 Relays will swim in finals Friday and Syndey Darnell is in the 200 IM final and the 100 Butterfly. Kasey Darnell will swim in the consolation final of the 500 Freestyle. )
