(PRESS RELEASE) Spencer Township – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash at Frankfort Road & Fulton-Lucas Road. The crash occurred on August 12th, 2024 at approximately 7:03 PM.
The preliminary investigation shows a silver Ford F-150, operated by Justin Jeffries, 42, Toledo, Ohio was driving westbound on Frankfort Road.
Mr. Jeffries failed to stop for a stop sign, entered the intersection and was struck by a blue Jeep Liberty operated by Timothy Dooley, 48, Swanton, Ohio who was traveling northbound on Fulton-Lucas Road.
Mr. Jeffries was pronounced deceased at the scene and his passenger Kaylyn Dotson, 22, Toledo, Ohio was transported to Toledo Hospital with minor injuries.
Mr. Dooley sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the University of Toledo Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputies, Fulton County Coroner’s Office, Amboy EMS and Swanton Fire & EMS.
