EDON – The Bombers tied the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning before the Wauseon bats came alive in the top of the seventh to plate six runs for a 10-4 win at Edon.
The Indians struck first in the second inning as Ella Albright drew a walk, Danica Pack doubled, and Bella McGuire singled to right to score Albright for a 1-0 lead.
Pack would eventually score from third on a passed ball to make it 2-0 before Kylerr Bronson struck out to end the inning.
Edon cracked the scoreboard in the bottom of the inning as Madison Ogden doubled to start things and after stealing third, she scored on an error later in the inning to cut the Wauseon lead to 2-1.
Wauseon would get the run back in the third with a Jayde Ramos single, a stolen base, and a Bomber error to push the lead to 3-1.
The bottom of the fourth had the possibilities of being a big inning for Edon as they would load the bases with no outs after a single and two walks.
The Wauseon defense then turned in a 5-2-3 double play as Ward fielded a grounder at third, fired home to catcher Brianna Hays to get the force and Hays threw to first complete the double play.
Just when it looked like Wauseon would escape the inning, a pop up by Addison Warner was mishandled, allowing two runs to score to tie the game at 3-3.
The Bombers kept the two-out rally going as Emma Howard hit a bloop single to center and an Ella Hageman wild pitch put runners at second and third before the Wauseon righty buckled down to strikeout Mackenzie Spangler to end the inning.
Wauseon recaptured the lead in the fifth on an RBI double from Pack but Edon responded later in the bottom of the sixth as Adison Briner knocked in a run with a single to tie things up at 4-4 going to the seventh.
Freshman Elley Ward started the inning for the Indians with a double off the fence followed by an Ava Kovar RBI single to score Aubrianna Everly, who pinch ran for Ward, to give Wauseon a 5-4 lead.
Kovar would be picked off at first on the play, but Albright was hit by a pitch and Pack laced a single down the left field line to move Albright to third and Pack advanced to second on the throw.
McGuire continued things with a slow roller to third for an infield single to load the bases for Hageman who singled to right, scoring Albright and making it a 6-4 game.
With the bases still loaded, Bronson then delivered a shot down the left field line that got by the left fielder and went to the corner, allowing all three Indians to score and build the lead to 9-4.
After stealing third, Bronson would score as Ramos reached on an error to end the Wauseon scoring in the inning.
Hageman would get two fly outs and a popout to retire the Bombers in order to close out the game.
Bronson finished 3-4 with three RBIs with Pack also totaling three hits for Wauseon.

Edon was paced by two hits each from Allyson Derck and Ogden.
