Vercia A. Krause, age 90, of Delta, passed away Saturday night, March 17, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Lima, OH on December 22, 1927 to the late Samuel Price and Kathrine (Johnson) Price.
After being at Lima Central High School, she moved to Toledo; where she attended Scott High School and later Davis Business College. Vercia served over ten years as a secretary for National Cement Products and then several years with Dana Corporation before retiring. She enjoyed reading and visiting casinos. Vercia also liked playing cards, especially euchre and poker. She was a proud member of the Delta American Legion Auxiliary.
On July 6, 1979 she married Thomas E. Krause and he survives, along with children, Vicki (Rodney Giesige) Mull of New Bavaria, Gary (Barbara) Balusik of Whitehouse, Dan (Cindy) Balusik of Grand Rapids, OH, Abby Krause of Maumee and Jennifer Casey of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Raker Cemetery in Delta on March 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Randy Trowbridge officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.
