June 26, 2020No Comments2 Mins Read

Victoria Benner, age 94, of rural Bryan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Evergreen Manor in Montpelier.

Victoria was born on November 6, 1925, the daughter of John and Marie (Condon) Moldovan. She was born in Detroit and raised near Rhodes, Michigan. As a young woman, she returned to Detroit to live with her Grandmother.

Working to support the war effort during World War II, she met her future husband, Herbert W. Benner. They were married on February 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death. Victoria assisted in the family business, Benner Dairy, until she retired.

Survivors include her son, David (LaVon) Benner, of Stryker; daughter, Elizabeth Dubose, of Montpelier; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Rosek, Eva (Dale) Billings and Sally Laskowski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and two sisters.

Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. Masks may be used to prevent spreading the virus but are optional. Anyone showing any symptoms of infection are asked to please share their condolences by a phone call, email, text message or leaving a condolence at the funeral home website.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Luke Nagy officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to First Brethren Church.
